A couple of weeks ago I was looking back over some of my old posts and I found the monthly playlists I used to write every month and it was fun to look back and see what music I was into back then and see if it has changed in the past few years. If you're interested you can check them out here.
So in todays post I thought it would be interesting to go through and share my current top 10 songs I'm always listening to whilst I'm driving.

I know that we are currently relaxing the rules of Lockdown on an almost daily basis and at this point most people are probably bored with Netflix now but I thought I would share some of the shows I've been watching recently just in case anyone is looking for anything good to watch.
I'm almost sad to admit I was late to the game with this show and didn't watch it for a good few years after it first came out however for the last few years it has been my all time favourite show to watch. It's such an easy show to get into and that is definitely something I look for in a show.
This series is definitely different to most shows I watch and took a couple episodes to get into. The season itself is very short with only 6 episodes, each being half an hour long. Each episode of the show makes you want to watch more and find out what happens next.
The show itself reminds me a little of PS I Love You as it centres around the main characters life after the death of his wife.
Since watching this has probably become one of my favourite films and I have definitely watched it more than once! What starts out as an easy watch chilled out film turns into a mystery/thriller type film with multiple twists and turns. The film stars Anna Kendrick as single mum Stephanie who becomes unlikely friends with glamorous mum Emily played by Blake Lively. Emily asks for one favour and then dissapears.
This series definitely has a Pretty Little Liars vibe to it in the way that it's set out. Similar to Pretty Little Liars the show is centered around a group of teenagers living in the town of Riverdale who seem to be constantly surrounded by dark mysteries. It is for sure a must watch show for anyone who enjoys mystery and drama style shows.
The Hustle (1h33) After spending a while working out what to watch on Netflix recently I stumbled across this film which I've been meaning to watch for a while and honestly was hooked from the start. The film followed 2 con women who work together to prove who is the better con woman and end up teaming up in order to take down a man who wronged them.
Although this show came out in 2019 I only found out about it at the start of lockdown and was pretty happy when I found out season 2 was being released only a couple of weeks after I'd finished season 1. Most shows usually take me a couple of episodes to really get into however I was hooked on this from the first episode! The show is about 2 women.. one of whom has recently lost her husband in a hit and run and the other who befriends her and tries to help her through the situation... however she has a big secret!
If you want some more recommendations you can check out my previous Netflix posts here:

If you saw my Netflix Favourites post a few weeks ago you will know that I had just finished watching Gossip Girl and to be honest I am quite sad I've finished it. So in order to make the hype of it last longer today's blog post is going to be about some of the thoughts I had during the course of the show.
If you haven't seen any of Gossip Girl and are wanting to please beware that there are going to be some MAJOR spoilers included within this post!
Blair & Chuck's Love
As much as I loved how everything turned out for Blair and Chuck in the end, I can't help but think that their relationship and their apparent 'hold' over each other was a seemingly obsessive one and I wasn't a major fan of them being together for most of the show. Given the choice between him and Louis however I am 100% happy with how their family situation ended.
Serena & Drugs
I can't help but feel like they dragged out the whole 'Serena on drugs' idea. She originally left the Upper East Side because of an incident relating to drugs, she ended up in hospital a few seasons later because of something drug related again. Then in Season 6 she is seen on a bus, passed out because of a drug issue again.
I understand that sometimes when someone is in that world once they often return to it in times of hardship but when she is supposedly portrayed as this 'perfect' Upper East Sider that everything great just happens to by everyone close to her. The whole drug idea just didn't seem to fit with this image. Maybe that was the idea? I'm not sure I just wasn't a fan as it felt repeated.
Jenny
Jenny was essentially the sweet innocent sister of Dan for the first season or so, this quickly changed when she entered the world of the Upper East Side and really found a love for not just Fashion but also power. She craved the feeling of being liked and adored. The further into the show we got it seemed more like we'd lost Jenny and had actually been given Taylor (the actress who played her). I felt like this style change was a bit odd considering how into Fashion she was and how Gothic this change felt. I do however feel the change to a darker style also represented her change to a more darker personality. This rang even more true to me when she was part of the group that led to Serena being in hospital.
Bart Bass What was with the whole 'faking death' thing I still don't honestly see the relevance to the story line.. Lilly and Rufus's marriage was clearly coming to an end but did they really need Bart to be the end of it? I still don't know how I feel about that. Who is Gossip Girl? DAN HUMPHREY IS NOT GOSSIP GIRL! I'm sorry but that just doesn't make any sense to me whatsoever! He's posting about things he has no way of knowing (yes GG has her spies but not MI5 level!) And everyone happily forgives him after 10 seconds of knowing even though Gossip Girl supposedly ruined everyone's lives at the time.
I was inpatient and decided to find out during the 1st/2nd season and knowing her identity literally made no difference to the show at all in my opinion just because the revelation made zero sense. WHY WAS IT NOT DOROTA!?

This past month I've been loving alot of different music to normal, most of the music in this top 10 were introduced to me via the Spotify Discover Weekly feature, so there's a few new songs and a few older ones this month. Top 10

I haven't posted in so long! (over a month!) and I'm not really happy about that fact tbh! But over the last month I have been SO busy with work it has basically taken over my life! However, now that the summer holiday period is pretty much over (sad times I know!) I have a more workable schedule which gives me alot more time to plan and write blog posts. So for the first post since last month, As I've done every month this year I'm going to share with you my music favourites from this month!

As you will probably notice from this months playlist, I've been loving all things Country this month! I've always loved country music, I find it more relaxing than listening to any music in the charts! Don't get me wrong I love current music aswell but I feel it's good to listen to a combination of styles instead of just the one.

Orange Is The New Black
Of course OITNB is the first on this list haha! The new season recently aired and of course I binge watched all 13 episodes in less than 3 days! The show is based around a woman who is sentenced to 15 months for a crime she committed in her teens and all the goings on that occur during those 15 months when she is imprisoned in an all girls prison.
How I Met Your Mother
How I Met Your Mother is definitely a show that's easy to binge watch and with over 200 episodes it can keep you going for a while!
The show revolves around the main character Ted having a conversation with his kids via a series of flashbacks the moments that led to him meeting their mother and the many entertaining moments they enjoyed along the way.
House
Hugh Laurie plays an antisocial doctor who runs a diagnostic department and will do anything and everything he can in order to diagnose and treat a patient.
This was one of the first shows I watched on Netflix and I was hooked from the first episode! It's honestly one of those shows I could watch over and over again (despite having over 170 episodes!)
Bad Education
After finishing the most recent show I was watching the next show on the list was Bad Education starring comedian Jack Whitehall as a teacher of a secondary school who acts more like a pupil than a teacher! With only 3 seasons this show is an easy to watch show for all to enjoy.
Outnumbered
Outnumbered was the first show I watched on Netflix and is definitely a perfect show to watch with your family. It's a comedy based around a couple (Hugh Dennis & Claire Skinner) bringing up their 3 children.
It's a very lighthearted show and with 5 seasons can keep you going for a while, whether its a show you decide to binge watch or one you go and come back to

Instead of doing a monthly favourites post of all the products I've used, I've decided I want to do monthly playlist posts instead. Mainly because I always have so many favourites each month! But also because I thought it would be fun to share with you the songs I'm loving each month.
Some of the music will be songs that I've found through other people and loved and some will be songs that are often overplayed on the radio! (You know you love them really!)

CHRISTMAS COUNTDOWN - 22 DAYS!!
I always find that watching Christmas movies really gets you into the Christmas spirit so for that reason I've decided to share with you my top 5 favourite Christmas movies that you should check out this season!
Home Alone 1&2
I watched this film for the first time a few years ago and fell in love immediately! It's one of those films that you can sit down and watch as a family and everyone can enjoy. It's a film which shows the importance of family at Christmas whilst also adding some comedic value with the help of two house robbers played by Joe Pesci & Daniel Stern.
The Holiday (2006)
The Holiday is one of my all time favourite Christmas movies and I have memories of starting Christmas day by watching this film! If you chose to watch this film I will recommend tissues as it is a real tear jerker.
The Polar Express
The Polar Express is an animated film where children are picked up from their houses on Christmas eve and are taken on a magical journey to the North Pole via the Polar Express. The film takes you on a journey as the children learn the importance of friendship and the true spirit of Christmas! It's a film that can not only be enjoyed by younger children but adults as well.
Love Actually (2003)
Love Actually follows the lives of different couples throughout the festive season, Staring actors such as Bill Nighy, Colin Firth & Liam Neeson. I had to add this film to my Christmas favourites as I feel like it's one of those classics that everybody loves to watch around this time of year.
A Christmas Carol (1999)
Finally, you can't have a Christmas film list without including A Christmas Carol. Set in London the film is an adaptation of the book written by Charles Dickens. The story follows a man named Scrooge (played by Patrick Stewart) who is visited by 3 spirits in order to help him to change his ways.
Let me know in the comments what your favourite Christmas film is!
Have an amazing day/night and I'll see you tomorrow for Blogmas Day 4!
