If you saw my Netflix Favourites post a few weeks ago you will know that I had just finished watching Gossip Girl and to be honest I am quite sad I've finished it. So in order to make the hype of it last longer today's blog post is going to be about some of the thoughts I had during the course of the show.
If you haven't seen any of Gossip Girl and are wanting to please beware that there are going to be some MAJOR spoilers included within this post!
Blair & Chuck's Love
As much as I loved how everything turned out for Blair and Chuck in the end, I can't help but think that their relationship and their apparent 'hold' over each other was a seemingly obsessive one and I wasn't a major fan of them being together for most of the show. Given the choice between him and Louis however I am 100% happy with how their family situation ended.
Serena & Drugs
I can't help but feel like they dragged out the whole 'Serena on drugs' idea. She originally left the Upper East Side because of an incident relating to drugs, she ended up in hospital a few seasons later because of something drug related again. Then in Season 6 she is seen on a bus, passed out because of a drug issue again.
I understand that sometimes when someone is in that world once they often return to it in times of hardship but when she is supposedly portrayed as this 'perfect' Upper East Sider that everything great just happens to by everyone close to her. The whole drug idea just didn't seem to fit with this image. Maybe that was the idea? I'm not sure I just wasn't a fan as it felt repeated.
Jenny
Jenny was essentially the sweet innocent sister of Dan for the first season or so, this quickly changed when she entered the world of the Upper East Side and really found a love for not just Fashion but also power. She craved the feeling of being liked and adored. The further into the show we got it seemed more like we'd lost Jenny and had actually been given Taylor (the actress who played her). I felt like this style change was a bit odd considering how into Fashion she was and how Gothic this change felt. I do however feel the change to a darker style also represented her change to a more darker personality. This rang even more true to me when she was part of the group that led to Serena being in hospital.
Bart Bass
What was with the whole 'faking death' thing I still don't honestly see the relevance to the story line.. Lilly and Rufus's marriage was clearly coming to an end but did they really need Bart to be the end of it? I still don't know how I feel about that.
Who is Gossip Girl?
DAN HUMPHREY IS NOT GOSSIP GIRL! I'm sorry but that just doesn't make any sense to me whatsoever! He's posting about things he has no way of knowing (yes GG has her spies but not MI5 level!) And everyone happily forgives him after 10 seconds of knowing even though Gossip Girl supposedly ruined everyone's lives at the time.
I was inpatient and decided to find out during the 1st/2nd season and knowing her identity literally made no difference to the show at all in my opinion just because the revelation made zero sense. WHY WAS IT NOT DOROTA!?

I've been posting quite a few of these 'favourite' style posts and I'm actually really enjoying writing them! So I thought I'd share an updated version of what's currently on my iPhone.
At the end of September, my contract with my old phone company ended and anyone who knows me will know that I honestly didn't even know if my phone would last that long! It was in a very bad way! These two events lead to me starting a new contract with a new phone so as of right now I am a proud owner of an iPhone 7 plus and honestly I don't know how I ever lived with a smaller phone!
If you're interested you can check out my previous 'What's on my iPhone' posts here.
I've recently been really getting into Instagram and I'm loving posting images ranging from what I've been up to to new blog post photos and of course the odd selfie. I really enjoyed creating a new theme for Autumn and editing photos to suit the Autumnal theme I had chosen.
UNUM
This app is quite a recent favourite of mine. Before I purchased my current phone I will admit I spent quite a lot of time watching 'What's on my iPhone' videos on YouTube. This was party to get an idea of how the phone worked and people's opinions on it but also to find some new app inspiration as I always find myself on the same apps. Among the apps talked about was this one, the app allows you to plan out your Instagram feed as you would if you were posting the photos directly, this is very useful when it comes to creating an Instagram theme.
Best Fiends
In my 'What's on my iPhone' post I wrote about how I was loving this game and even though it has been almost a year since the last post was written my feelings about this game still haven't changed. If you haven't heard of the game, the aim is to match up icons of the same colour in order to add up points which help to defeat the slugs and complete other requirements.
Wunderlist
The last app I have been loving recently is Wunderlist, this app is basically a to-do-list app, however, I have been using it as a way of planning out any blog post ideas I want to write about and checking them off using the checklist feature once I have written them/taken the photographs for them. Although I am not necessarily sticking to a blogging schedule (more on that soon) I do have certain dates that I want some posts to be written by, for example, Halloween posts probably shouldn't be going up in December/January so this app has been great for helping me to organise my blogging life.

It's currently 2:57am as I'm writing this but I feel like this is something that I want to address as I feel it's important.
A few months ago I wrote a post about how I took an unplanned break and how I felt it was beneficial for finding a love for blogging again after falling out of love with what I was posting.
If I go back to the beginning of July when I wrote that post, I can still remember feeling like I had let myself down by not posting.
Fast forward to now and I've realised that although I absolutely love blogging it's really not the end of the world if I don't end up posting for a while and it's not something I should feel bad about because it's my own space on the internet where I can post what I want and when I want and that I should feel proud of myself for how far I've come.
The biggest thing I've learned over the past year is that sticking to a schedule doesn't really work for me and just leaves me feeling stressed or annoyed at myself if I don't post on time and that this can come across in my posts and make them feel rushed.
So from now on yes I have a plan of blog posts I'd like to write and what I'd like to include on the blog between now and the end of the year, but I'm going to post when I feel I have something I'm happy with. If that means there's no posts for a week or two that’s okay, but it's also okay if like tonight I decide to write out about 4-5 posts a night.

Today's post is another Autumn inspired post and it's all about my Autumn essentials and everything I will be using/wearing this Autumn.
Fashion
Now were getting into the colder months it's important to stay warm so my 2 main essentials for keeping warm are jumpers or hoodies (I would honestly live in hoodies if I could!) and scarfs! I've built up a good collection of scarves over the past few years that I absolutely love but my all time favourites are my New Look scarf I purchased a few years ago (you may have seen it in a few of my previous Instagram photos!) and a grey H&M scarf that I included in my End Of Summer Haul.
Another Autumn fashion essential is ankle boots, my favourite pair have been worn pretty much to death and although I can't currently remember where I bought them from I know that they have lasted almost a year which for me is very important when it comes to purchasing shoes! I also have a dark red pair which I bought from Primark in Spain last year which I absolutely love wearing during the Autumn and Winter months as the colour goes well with most items I own.
Lifestyle
As you will know if you read my last post about the new Autumn fall Collection from Yankee Candle candles are definitely one of my top favourite things so of course they were going to be included in this post. I have recently been burning the Spiced Orange votive that I mentioned in the post and I have been absolutely loving it! Every time I leave the room and come back the whole room smells of oranges and it is the most refreshing yet Autumnal scent I've smelt recently.
Beauty
In terms of beauty essentials I always reach for in the Autumn months, I am always more drawn to orange & darker shades, this relates both to eye shadows and lip colours (although I don't tend to wear lip products very often as I don't feel the need to). I will be writing a more in depth post about my current Autumn everyday makeup soon so keep your eyes open for that post soon!
