A couple of months ago I wrote a post about my summer pamper routine. Within that post I briefly mentioned about sharing my skincare routine so todays post is going to be all about skincare and what I'm currently using.
I have always been very lucky with my skin in that I rarely ever suffer from breakouts and most are hormonal related. However, due to government guidelines relating to corona virus I and many others are now required to wear as mask whilst at work. As you can imagine this has led to an increase in breakouts. For this reason I recently decided to change up some products I use to more suit the changes in my skin.
CLEANSER
My current favourite cleanser is from the Garnier SkinActive range and is their soothing cleansing milk which I will usually use to remove any makeup I am wearing.
FACE WASH
The face wash I am currently using is the Neutrogena refreshingly clear facial wash. Not only does the grapefruit scent of this face wash smell incredible it is also oil free meaning that it is more effective at helping with oil control and dealing with dirt on oily skin.
TONER
Whilst shopping around for skincare a few weeks ago I also picked up a new toner. The one I'm currently using is from the Garnier Organics range suitable for combination to oily skin. I usually apply this every night after washing my face and I have definitely been noticing a difference. One of the ingredients in this product is Salicylic Acid which has been known help dissolve excess oil buildup.
MOISTURIZER
I have been using my current moisturiser for a couple of years now and it is still the one I am using daily. Most products I like to change out depending on the time of year, however I mostly always keep the same moisturiser.
What is one skincare product you couldn't live without and why?

For the last regular post before Blogmas starts I wanted to share my top tips for planning for Blogmas and how I plan it.PLAN AHEAD
The biggest tip I can give for planning for a series as busy as Blogmas is to make a plan way in advance. As crazy as it sounds I started jotting ideas of down around August (maybe even earlier) this will be way too early for some people however I like to have a rough guide of posts I wanna write over a space of 4-6 months.
WRITE AHEAD
Although I plan my content months in advance I will usually wait until closer to the time of posting to write the post. I usually start writing a plan for a post around a month before the post goes up, this is so I have the bare bones of the post I wanna write and am then able to go back closer to the time and edit it. Having something written out already that just needs adding to is incredibly helpful, especially when you know you won't have alot of time.
DON'T DO TOO MUCH
Another tip is to really think about how much you can handle and the kind of time you have. Everybody is different and the best thing to do is to work out what will work best for you. If you want to share a post everyday go for it, if that's too much, post every 2 days, a few times a week or even once a week.
DON'T PUT TOO MUCH PRESSURE ON YOURSELF
No matter how regularly you choose to post this Blogmas don't put too much pressure on yourself. The whole idea of Blogmas is to have some festive fun and share it with your readers. Don't put yourself down if you miss a post or are unable to post as much as someone else.
WRITE & PHOTOGRAPH IN BULK
Writing posts and taking photos in bulk can be very time consuming however you can also get ALOT done in one sitting which is great for those who don't have much spare time in their day. I usually spend one of my days off bulk writing posts for the upcoming month and the other day getting pictures for both blog posts and Instagram content.

When the weather starts to get colder one of my all time favourite things to do is cuddle up with a blanket whilst watching a movie/TV series whilst also drinking hot chocolate.
So today's post is going to be an Autumn inspired Hot Chocolate!
What you need
Whipped Cream
2oz Dark Chocolate
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
8oz milk chocolate
Salt
1/4tsp lemon juice
4 1/2 cups milk
What to do...
Start by mixing the lemon juice and granulated sugar together until the sugar has a damp consistency
Melt the sugar in a pre-heated pan and stir until it's dark brown in colour
Continue to stir and add in the milk. Continue to stir until the milk is hot, by now you should have a smooth liquid as the caramel should have melted.

Once the milk is simmering remove the pan from the heat, it is important not to let the milk boil!
Add the chocolate to the pan and mix until all chocolate is melted and the liquid has a smooth texture. Add salt to the liquid depending on personal taste.

Pour into a glass or mug and serve
Serve with whipped cream if desired
What's your favourite hot drink to drink in the Autumn?
