Halloween Week 2020 - Halloween Nails

A couple of years ago I wrote a Christmas Nail Art post for Blogmas and it was honestly one of my favourite posts to do. So for my last post in this Halloween week series I wanted to share My favourite Halloween inspired nail art and how to achieve the design yourself.

Anyone who knows me will know that I am obsessed with the Primark nail range and as I am someone who gets bored with my nail designs regularly, being able to easily change out colour as well as add some extra length to my natural nails is something that I definitely enjoy.

To start the design I painted all my nails black to get the base of the night sky. I used the Seventeen Gel Colour In the shade Black Cat

The next thing I did was use a black & white glitter polish to get the starry background which would make the base for the designs.

At this point I wasn't yet 100% set on the design I wanted to create so I decided to play around with some star stickers and painted gold stripes. After a while I decided I wasn't fully in love with the stripe idea and so I changed it out for a larger silver star.

The last step for this design was to go over each nail with a top coat. I chose to use a matt top coat by Barry M, this not only made sure that the design stayed set in place but also gave the finished nails a matt finish which I personally prefer for this design.
