A few weeks ago I went on a bit of an 'End of Summer' shopping spree and I wanted to take this time to share with you what I bought!
Beauty
One of the first purchases I made was in the perfume shop, I have loved this perfume ever since I received a sample of it a few years ago and ever since I have been repurchasing it whenever I have the chance. Every time I buy a different perfume I always end up going back to this one and this time I decided to buy the 50ml bottle as it was on offer (and cheaper than the 30ml!)
I also went to Superdrug to repurchase a few beauty items and also buy a few new items I have been wanting to try. I picked up a few items from Revolution including their blush palette which comes with 8 different blush colours. I love the quality and affordability of their products. so I always make sure to check out their range whenever I'm in Superdrug.
Fashion
The first shop I went to was, of course, Primark, I always end up leaving the store with the biggest bag they have and this time was no different! One of my favourite items I bought from there was a pair of sunglasses, this was probably a crazy idea as we are getting less and less sun as we move into Autumn. I also picked up a pair of dark wash jeans as I love how affordable they are and I realised the other day I no longer had any dark wash jeans as they were all ripped!
I also went into H&M and New Look and repurchased a scarf that I had bought from the H&M store in Westfield (London) but had somehow come home without when I wore it New Year's Eve last year and it's taken me this long to find it again! I also picked up a few t-shirts and tank tops as they are easily wearable and are reasonably cheap.
Other
This is probably my favourite part of any haul as it can be quite random but can also be good at showing a person's personality. One of my favourite items I picked up was a scented candle from the Primark homeware section. If you saw my post I wrote at the beginning of last year about the Winter Yankee Candle range you will probably know how much I love candles so I always end up buying at least one every time I go somewhere.
I also picked up a couple of jewellery pieces from a few different shops. My favourites are a gold chained necklace (not sure on the shop for this one) and a few new Pandora style charms for my bracelet.
I know this was a fairly long post compared to most of the other posts on my blog so if you got this far well done.. and let me know what do you enjoy most about shopping?
If you were interested in any of the items mentioned above I have provided links to the few that I can find below.

This is the 2nd baking post out of the 4 I have chosen to share with you in order to celebrate my 2nd Blog birthday! I first learned this recipe when I was still in school in cooking classes around 7 years ago and it has been a family favourite ever since.
What you need
150g unsalted butter
150g brown sugar
3tbsp golden syrup
300g porridge oats
Preheat the oven to 180°c (gas 4) and grease and line a baking tray
In a saucepan mix the butter and brown sugar together, stir until the sugar has melted but don't let the mixture boil (before you start to see bubbles)
Mix in the golden syrup and take the saucepan off the heat
add the porridge oats to the mixture and mix together
transfer the mixture from the saucepan into the baking tray making sure to fill spread out the mixture
bake the mixture in the oven for around 20-25 minutes or until the flapjacks have turned golden brown
once out of the oven keep the flapjacks in the tray until cool as this will help them to keep their shape and not fall apart whilst cooling
once cooled, remove from the tray and slice up ready to serve and enjoy!

I recently realised that a few weeks ago my blog turned 2! Last year I celebrated by sharing some throwback summer photos from when I was younger (you can check out that post here) however this year I wanted to share with you some of my favourite baking recipes that I've found over the years or that have been passed down by family members through the years. The plan is to share a new recipe every other day this week starting today!
This recipe is one of my favourites and it was originally found here
What you need
40g butter/margarine (room temperature)
110g caster sugar
1 egg
1/4tsp vanilla extract
100g plain flour
120ml milk
1 1/2tsp baking powder
20g cocoa powder
What to do...
Preheat oven to 170°C/325°F/Gas 3
Line a 12-hole muffin tin with cases
Mix the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, salt and butter into a bowl until they have a sandy consistency
mix the rest of the ingredients into a jug
slowly pour half of the mixture into the dry mixture and mix on high until smooth being careful not to over mix
spoon into paper cases until 2/3rds full
bake in the oven for 20-25 mins
set aside to cool on a wire rack before decorating

On June 25th me and a few others took part in the 2017 Children's Hospice South West Rainbow Run to raise money for Little Harbour (a hospice for children and young people in Cornwall).
Anyone who knows me will probably know that I don't run.. ever and if I ever do you should probably start running too cause something is most probably chasing me! So the thought of actually running 5K was one which in my head was slightly crazy to even think about. I will admit to running at the end though.
The run consisted of various checkpoints where different coloured powder paint was thrown at you and our plan was to get as colourful as possible which I think we succeeded in doing.

These past few weeks have been crazy! I was looking back on recent posts on here and realised that its been almost 4 months since I actually posted anything which is crazy and I think its been the longest amount of time I've ever not posted anything for.
I never actually planned to take a break from blogging however after doing so I realised I needed to, I felt like I wasn't putting my all into every post and I'd kinda lost my love for blogging and why I started in the first place.
After ending up with no phone about a month ago I also ended up taking a short break from Social Media which was ALOT harder than I ever thought it would be however during that time I found myself spending time doing other more active things and not having to worry about posting anything or sharing what I was doing.
After a long time thinking about where I want to go with Wunderlust and the kind of posts I want to post I am finally back! So this is where I want to share with you the most exciting parts of what I've been up to whilst I've been away!
RCS June 8-10
Anyone who's been following me for a while will know that I always post about the annual Royal Cornwall Show (2015 & 2016) and this year is of course no different! As with last year due to work commitments I was only able to go the 1 day (which ended up being the worst weather of all 3 days but that doesn't matter too much).
Changing Jobs
After a long amount of consideration I finally left my old job almost 2 weeks ago, I had spent just less than 3 years working there and I felt it was definitely time for a change! I've only been working in my new job just over 3 weeks but it's definitely a different environment to work in and its a welcoming change!
Looking to the future
Wunderlust has and always will be my own space on the internet and I have a lot of love for it and I want to keep that love moving forward. As I said in my previous post 5 Things Ive Learned From Blogging time away is important and it gives you time to reflect on everything and thats just what I've been able to do! As for when I'm going to be posting I honestly haven't decided on a schedule or anything like that at the moment, I just want to enjoy posting when and if I feel like it.
If you got this far.. well done to you and let me know in the comments.. What's the one thing you're most proud of??
